Abu Dhabi Sovereign wealth fund <\/strong>Mubadala<\/a><\/strong> inked an agreement with global<\/strong>investment bank <\/strong>Goldman Sachs<\/a><\/strong> to co-invest USD 1 bn in private credit in the Asia-Pacific region <\/strong>under a new partnership agreement,according to a joint statement<\/a>. The partnership will allow the two investors to deploy long-term capital to \u201chigh quality companies and sponsors\u201d throughout the region, with a particular focus on India, the statement said. <\/p>\n

How it will work:<\/strong> As manager of the partnership, Goldman Sachs Alternatives' private creditdivision will use on the ground teams across different Asia Pacific markets to monitor available windows for private loans, the statement said.<\/p>\n

ICYMI: <\/strong>Mubadala plans<\/a> to more than double its assets in Asia to 25%, from the 12% currently under the fund\u2019s management, head of Mubadala\u2019s life sciences and healthcare investments Camilla Macapili Languille told Bloomberg<\/a>.<\/p>\n
