A new USD<\/strong>3 bn aluminum <\/strong>factory in the pipeline:<\/strong> The Public Enterprise Ministry isset to team up with UAE-based Emirates Global Aluminium<\/a> to build a USD 3 bn aluminum factory somewhere in northern Egypt with an estimated production capacity of 600k tons, Public Enterprises Ministry spokesperson Mansour Abdel Ghani told Enterprise. The contracts will be signed soon, he added.<\/p>\n

Wait, there is more: <\/strong>The government is also in talks with Aluminium Bahrain<\/a> (Alba) to establisha factory to produce bauxite \u2014 the raw material usedin the production of aluminum \u2014 in the Red Sea\u2019s Ras Ghareb, Abdel Ghani told us. <\/p>\n
