Diplomatic efforts to end the war on Gaza continue: <\/strong>Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi joined Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry in Cairo yesterday for a meeting centered around the situation in Gaza. The two sides shared a <\/span>seven-point list<\/a> of agreements reached during the meeting, which includes calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, ensuring Gazans have access to the needed aid, and continued Egyptian and Chinese efforts to end Israeli aggression.<\/span><\/p>\n

China isn\u2019t happy with the latest wave of Western attacks on Yemen: <\/strong>The two also touched on the need to ensure the safety and security of navigation in the Red Sea following airstrikes by the US and UK<\/a> against Houthi targets in Yemen.\u201cThe adding of fuel to the fire of tensions in the Red Sea should be avoided and an increase in the overall security risk of the region should be prevented,\u201d Wang said during a presser (watch, runtime: 23:53<\/a>) following the meeting. <\/p>\n

Wang + El Sisi: <\/strong>The Chinese Foreign Minister also met<\/a> with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi totalk about regional and international developments. The two affirmed the need to abide by international law and reiterated their rejection of the forced displacement of Palestinians. El Sisi also \u201cstressed Egypt\u2019s persistent support for the one-China principle,\u201d according to the Ittihadiya statement.<\/p>\n
