Fool Me Once<\/a><\/strong> is<\/strong> adapted from Harlan Coben\u2019s <\/strong>book<\/a><\/strong> with the same title,<\/strong> this eight-episode thriller joins a roster of murder mysteries floating around Netflix<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Once upon a time, there was a woman called Maya (Michelle Keegan), whose husband<\/strong> Joe (Richard Armitage) is shot but strangely reappears. <\/strong>Of all places, on her daughter\u2019s nanny cam \u2014 thank you technology. Which sets Maya (and us<\/a>) out on an investigative frenzy to find out the truth.<\/p>\n

The storyline was a US-based show<\/strong> but Coben believes that the show served the book justice by making it a full-fledged UK production \u2014 which follows other Coben TV series like Safe<\/a>, The Stranger<\/a>, and Stay Close<\/a>. <\/p>\n

While the performances are \u201cthrilling,\u201d the cast might not be that familiar. <\/strong>Richard Armitage is known for his role in The Hobbit Series<\/a> and Adeel Akhtar in Murder Mystery<\/a>. The rest of the cast is known mostly in the UK.<\/p>\n

There are mixed feelings about the show.<\/strong> One news outlet called the show a \u201c background<\/a>binge-watch<\/a> \u201d while many audience members have praised the show<\/a> and other news outlets called it \u201c highly bingeable<\/a>.\u201d Even Coben said, \u201c If you don\u2019t like twists and turns, I\u2019m not your guy<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n
