The tl;dr: Save yourself the 700-word slog and just (a) accept that you\u2019re out of shape<\/strong> and (b) that the only way to get to where you want to go is to \u2026 get started. Gradually. \u201cWhen rebuilding your fitness, start by setting a goal of working out for a certain length of time each day, without worrying about your strength or intensity [\u2026] Once you can comfortably walk or jog for 30 minutes a day for two or three weeks, you can start increasing your pace to a run. If you want to return to lifting weights at the gym, start with a lower load and then gradually add more.\u201d<\/p>\n
