An Elon Musk biopic is in the works. <\/strong>The world\u2019s richest \u2014 and arguably, most overexposed \u2014 person will be making it to the silver screen in a film set to be directed by Darren Aronofsky (of Black Swan<\/a> and The Whale<\/a> fame). The rights to the biopic were being sought after by top studios and filmmakers before being snagged by A24, says Reuters<\/a>. A24 Films is the studio behind Everything Everywhere All At Once and Euphoria.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t expect the full fanboy treatment: <\/strong>The film will be based largely on Walter Isaacson\u2019s biography<\/a> of Musk, which takes the reader through his transformation<\/a> from great innovator to internet troll. We, like many others, had a lot of time for Musk until he started getting high on his own supply \u2014 alone among the Paypal Mafia<\/a>, Musk left behind 0s and 1s to focus on actually making a dent in the physical world with investments in Tesla, Space X, Neuralink, and Starlink.<\/p>\n

Isaacson\u2019s work has historically focused on innovators and industry greats<\/strong>, including Albert Einstein, Benjamin Franklin, Leonardo da Vinci, and Steve Jobs (the latter also got the big screen<\/a> treatment). After shadowing Musk for two years, Isaacson\u2019s takeaway was that the bn\u2019aire is a \u201cmercurial man-child\u201d who lacks empathy.<\/p>\n

Musk doesn\u2019t leave much to the imagination.<\/strong> The very busy CEO of several companies is routinely<\/a> active on X, posting at all hours<\/a> of the day, averaging 24 posts<\/a> in as many hours, with his post rate increasing since his acquisition of the platform. <\/p>\n

Over 70% of his posts responded to others, making him a certified Reply Guy.<\/strong> Meanwhile, X\u2019s market value has fallen by more than half to USD 19 bn<\/a> since Elon bought the company.<\/p>\n

Growing food on the moon? Not as crazy as you might think<\/strong>.<\/strong> By finding a way to enhance its fertility through the introduction of bacteria which would increase the availability of phosphorus \u2014 a vital nutrient for plant growth \u2014 we might be able to grow the food on our nearest neighbor, according to Reuters<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Moon cigarettes? <\/strong>A Chinese lab created a simulated moon soil known as regolith (rock and dust that sits on top of a bedrock) with three species of bacteria added to it. The results\u2026<\/p>\n

\u2026plants grew healthier and better. <\/strong>It improved the growth characteristics of the plant including \u201clonger stems and roots as well as heavier and wider clusters of leaves\u201d compared to the one grown in soil with no microbes. <\/p>\n

The bacteria also altered the soil\u2019s acidity<\/strong>, causing the release of phosphorus from insoluble minerals and increasing its availability for plants. <\/p>\n

The takeaway: <\/strong>The technique could make it possible to turn the lunar regolith into a bio-friendly substrate for plant cultivation in future lunar greenhouses \u2014 and make lunar bases a thing <\/strong>by eliminating the need to look at transporting specialized soil to the moon or making hydrogels in orbit. <\/p>\n
