THE BIG STORY TODAY<\/strong><\/p>\n

Egypt signed a total of 10 agreements with local and international <\/strong>companies at the TransMea 2022 expo today<\/strong>, according to a Transport Ministry statement<\/a>. The agreements include four contracts, 5 MoUs, and one framework agreement, covering Cairo Metro projects, working on the fifth phase of the electric light rail train, and design and supply agreements for the electric high-speed rail, among others. <\/p>\n

THE BIG STORY ABROAD<\/strong><\/p>\n

News from the Israeli assault on Gaza continues to lead the conversation in the<\/strong> international press.<\/strong> US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken\u2019s visits to several countries in the region has been attributed to calming neighboring Arab nations and assuring them that the US is working on controlling the attacks from spreading in the region and to help innocent Palestinians caught in the onslaught. This comes as the IDF reportedly struck 450 aerial targets yesterday <\/strong>and has cut-off the northern area of Gaza as it prepares from a ground invasion.
