How would the world react if 2% of the population suddenly disappeared?<\/strong>The<\/a>Leftovers<\/a> is a post-apocalyptic drama from the minds behind Lost exploring the societal changes and existential horror that would take place in the wake of such an explicable event. Three years later, in the small town of Mapleton, the still-grieving locals are still struggling to accept The Departure. At the center of it is chief of police Kevin Garvey Jr (Justin Theroux), plagued by nightmares, trying to navigate the constant chaos afflicting the town.
