If the plan goes through, the four banks are set to receive the funds before the end of 2023, Abdel Hakim told the news outlet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Caveat: Nothing is set in stone.<\/strong> An EBRD rep we spoke with confirmed the facilities are being discussed, but said the bank is yet to sign off on anything. It is also not clear if this is an extension of the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/cd57da61-302d-428d-beab-253b1039c71a\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">USD 175.5 mn<\/a> announced in January by the EBRD for SMEs and green projects or an additional upcoming project.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Under the plans:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Our friends at <strong>CIB <\/strong>would receive<strong> USD 150 mn<\/strong> for on-lending to SMEs and environmental projects;<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>National Bank of Egypt <\/strong>will receive <strong>USD 100 mn<\/strong>for SME lending.
