We could be getting 1 mn tons of Russian wheat: <\/strong> Egypt is reportedly in talks with the Russian government to purchase 1 mn tons of wheat for delivery this season, Bloomberg<\/a> reports, citing sources its says have knowledge of the matter. <\/p>\n

Russia has been our biggest supplier this year: <\/strong> Egypt has imported close to 2 mn tons of Russian wheat so far in 2023, according to our math. <\/p>\n

Moscow blocked a big order this month: <\/strong> Egypt has had to source 480k tons<\/a> of wheat from Bulgaria and France after Russia blocked an order<\/a> because the price was below the unofficial price floor it is currently enforcing, Bloomberg<\/a> reported earlier this month.
