Japan is not only a financial partner in the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) project<\/b>, but has also been working with Egypt to preserve and restore Ancient Egyptian artifacts, Euronews says. The Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has played a key role in the transportation of precious and delicate artifacts from the Egyptian museum in Downtown Cairo to the GEM. Since 2008, the JICA has also trained over 2,000 Egyptians in artifact restoration.
