Today, less than half of you are saying the same thing.<\/li>\n<li><b>Fewer of you expect to be hiring in 2019<\/b> than thought their headcount would grow when we last surveyed you a year ago;<\/li>\n<li><b>You\u2019re hoping to keep wage growth under control<\/b> in 2019 after two years of sharp pay hikes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We have the full rundown on the results in this morning\u2019s Speed Round, below. And taken on the whole, the results don\u2019t feel horribly surprising this far into a long economic reform program \u2014 one that guarantees we have miles to go before we sleep.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"content-anchor\" id=\"tldr-story-06\"><\/a> <b>Santa rally? Fuggedaboutit. <\/b>Stocks in Asia are mixed this morning and US stock futures pointed to a slightly lower opening today after Friday\u2019s sell-off. The EGX30, meanwhile, closed yesterday flat in light trading \u2014 about a third below the trailing 90-day average.<\/p>\n<p><b>All signs point to more volatility as traders opt not to buy the dip<\/b>, the global business press is warning. Bank of America Merrill Lynch found that traders pulled USD 27.6 bn out of US equities last week \u2014 a figure it\u2019s calling the \u201csecond-biggest outflow of all time\u201d \u2014 and a further USD 39 bn was \u201cyanked from stocks worldwide,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/stock-market-crash-evidence-mounting-that-investors-are-expecting-one-2018-12\">Business Insider<\/a> reports. At the same time, some USD 81 bn flowed into money-market mutual funds last week (the biggest inflow on record) and a steep USD 46 bn flowed <i>out <\/i>of equity mutual funds \u2014 \u201calmost double the figure on any other week on record,\u201d Felix Salmon writes for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/hedge-funds-financial-risk-investments-c4670633-a373-4890-988e-58c554a3353a.html\">Axios<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><b>Don\u2019t take the word of the ink-stained wretches alone \u2014 the umbrella group of the world\u2019s central banks agrees. <\/b>The Bank for International Settlements warned in its quarterly review yesterday \u201cthat a normalization of monetary policy is likely to trigger a flurry of sharp sell-offs over the coming months,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2018\/12\/14\/bis-report-global-stock-market-sell-off-not-an-isolated-event.html\">CNBC<\/a> writes.
