<\/a> The airwaves were abuzz last night with commentary on President Abdel Fattah El Sisi\u2019s remarks<\/b> at the inauguration of several infrastructure projects over the weekend.<\/p>\n

Of particular interest to the talking heads was El Sisi\u2019s exchange with Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal<\/b>, who was unable to answer several of the president\u2019s inquiries about his governorate, including its budget and the scope of its infrastructure projects over the past four years. Egypt has officially submitted a bid to host the 2019 African Cup of Nations<\/b>, which kicks off in six months, and is up against South Africa for the gig.
