The case: <\/strong> For years, serial stalker Matthew Hardy terrorized his victims. His MO was crafty: Pretend to be a young female to let his victims\u2019 guards down and send a message asking them if he \u2014 or, rather, a fictitious \u201cshe\u201d \u2014 could tell them a secret. What ensued is years of online harassment, intimidation, and defamation via fake social media accounts. Luckily, the case culminated in a prison sentence<\/a>, but the victims still live with the ramifications of this spine-chilling scheme today. <\/p>\n
