Finance Minister Mohamed Maait and Investment and International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr are among those set to attend the meetings.<\/p>\n<p><b>Egypt will be on stage today and tomorrow in Moscow <\/b>at the CIS Petrochemicals Conference, where Carbon Holdings\u2019 Peter Skelley will give a presentation on the development of large-scale polyolefins in the Middle East as part of a discussion on the outlook for the global petrochemicals industry. Carbon is \u201cadvanced stages\u201d developing \u201cwhat will be one the world\u2019s largest single-train naphtha cracker facilities\u201d in Egypt, the company <a href=\"https:\/\/ent.news\/2019\/4\/1817.pdf\">said in a statement (pdf)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><b>Egypt has reportedly backed out of Trump\u2019s \u201cArab Nato\u201d<\/b><strong> strategy,<\/strong> four sources told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-usa-mesa-egypt-exclusive\/exclusive-egypt-withdraws-from-u-s-led-anti-iran-security-initiative-sources-idUSKCN1RM2WU\">Reuters<\/a> in an exclusive this morning. Cairo allegedly decided not to send a delegation to a summit held in Riyadh last Sunday, the newswire cites an unnamed source as saying, adding that \u201cEgypt withdrew because it doubted the seriousness of the initiative, had yet to see a formal blueprint laying it out, and because of the danger that the plan would increase tensions with Iran.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>Also on the agenda for next week:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The House of Representatives will vote on the <b>proposed constitutional amendments<\/b> on Tuesday, 16 April.<\/li>\n<li>A delegation of <b>21 Hungarian companies will arrive in Cairo<\/b> to explore investment opportunities on 16 April.<\/li>\n<li>The two-day <a href=\"https:\/\/www.metalbulletin.com\/events\/north-africa-iron-and-steel-conference\/details.html\"><b>North Africa Iron and Steel Conference<\/b><\/a> gets underway at the Four Seasons Nile Plaza on 16 April.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2019-01-14\/opec-leaves-market-guessing-as-it-struggles-to-set-meeting-date\"><b>OPEC+ oil ministers will meet<\/b><\/a>in Vienna on 17-18 April to discuss an extension to the oil supply cuts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr class=\"grey-line\" \/>\n<p><b>The EU and UK agreed to delay Brexit until 31 October<\/b> in the early hours this morning. The so-called \u201cflexible extension\u201d will allow the UK to leave the EU at any time during the next six months, provided a political solution can be found in the UK\u2019s divided House of Commons. The UK was originally due to exit the bloc tomorrow but political paralysis forced PM Theresa May into negotiating with Brussels for another delay. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/uk-politics-47889404\">The BBC has more<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><b>In other news worth knowing about:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Saudi Aramco\u2019s raised USD 12 bn in its bond sale <\/b>after investors put in orders for as much as USD 100 bn. The bonds have softened slightly on the secondary market in the time since, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/ef2e8440-5b95-11e9-9dde-7aedca0a081a\">reports the Financial Times.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><b>Uber plans to sell USD 10 bn-worth of its stock in what could be the biggest IPO since e-commerce giant Alibaba in 2014<\/b>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-uber-ipo-exclusive\/exclusive-uber-plans-to-sell-around-10-billion-worth-of-stock-in-ipo-sources-idUSKCN1RM03L\">Reuters reports<\/a>. Uber plans to register its offering today and kick off its investor roadshow on 29 April.
