This came on the back of management\u2019s focus on developing BdC\u2019s core banking system and human resource capabilities. The bank has also <u><a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.press\/stories\/2019\/03\/13\/banque-du-caire-inaugurates-representative-office-in-uae\/\">recently inaugurated<\/a><\/u> a representation office in the UAE. The state-owned bank is part of the lineup in the government\u2019s privatization program.<\/p>\n<p><b>The National Bank of Egypt reported a net profit after tax of EGP 10.1 bn in FY 2017-2018<\/b>, <u><a href=\"https:\/\/almalnews.com\/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A8%D9%86%D9%83-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A3%D9%87%D9%84%D9%8A-%D9%8A%D8%AD%D9%82%D9%82-10-1-%D9%85%D9%84%D9%8A%D8%A7%D8%B1-%D8%AC%D9%86%D9%8A%D9%87-%D8%B5%D8%A7%D9%81%D9%89-%D8%A3%D8%B1%D8%A8\/\">according to Al Mal<\/a><\/u>. NBE\u2019s loan portfolio reached EGP 368 bn in June 2018, up 12 y-o-y.<\/p>\n<p><b>Cheese producer Domty reported a net profit of EGP 154.6 mn in 2018, <\/b>up from EGP 61.5 mn in 2017, according to the company\u2019s <u><a href=\"http:\/\/www.egx.com.eg\/downloads\/News\/%D8%A8%D9%8A%D8%A7%D9%86%20%D8%B5%D8%AD%D9%81%D9%89%20%D8%A7%D9%86%D8%AC%D9%84%D9%8A%D8%B2%D9%89-31-03-2019.pdf\">earnings release (pdf)<\/a><\/u>. The company\u2019s revenues for the year came in at EGP 2.59 bn, up from EGP 2.25 bn in 2017.<\/p>\n<p><b>B Investments is proposing a EGP 80 mn dividend payout for 2018 at EGP 0.50 \/ share<\/b>, the company announced in its <u><a href=\"http:\/\/enterprise.press\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/B-Investments-Press-Release-English-1-1.pdf\">earnings for the year<\/a><\/u>. The company posted net profits of EGP 194 mn in 2018, marking a 46% increase from EGP 133 mn the previous year.<\/p>\n<p><em>Correction: 1 April, 2019<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>An earlier version of this article incorrectly said Domty's revenues for the year came in at EGP 613.4 mn, down from EGP 615 mn in 2017.
