Macron express concerns over human rights before meeting with El Sisi:<\/b> French President Emmanuel Macron said Egypt\u2019s human rights record today is worse than it was during the Mubarak era, Reuters reports.<\/a> The French president, who visited the Abu Simbel temple<\/a> in Aswan yesterday, is expected to meet with El Sisi today to discuss economic cooperation and regional affairs. Macron is also expected to bring up individual cases of jailed activists, the newswire notes. In the days leading up to Macron\u2019s visit, major global news outlets had pointed out that the French president would be under pressure to address Egypt\u2019s human rights record.<\/p>\n
