MOVES- Egypt gets new World Bank country director: <\/b>The World Bank has appointed Marina Wes as Country Director for Egypt, Yemen and Djibouti,according to a WB statement<\/a>. The Dutch national \u2014 who joined the WB in 2000 \u2014 was formerly country director for the West Bank and Gaza and, separately, for Poland. She also held the position of lead economist for Turkey. Her area of expertise is emerging markets, but has written extensively on public finances, trade and foreign direct investment. She takes over from Samia Msadek who served as acting director.<\/p>\n
