Once Cabinet signs off on the bills, they will be shipped off to the House of Representatives for final sign-off.<\/p>\n<p><b>What do the bills entail?<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proposed amendments to the <b>Customs Act<\/b> would expedite customs clearance, create a \u201cwhitelist\u201d of trusted importers, and broaden the Custom Authority\u2019s discretion, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.press\/stories\/2018\/10\/10\/finmin-releases-final-draft-of-the-customs-act\/\">the final draft<\/a> released by the Finance Ministry last year. <\/li>\n<li><b>The SMEs Act<\/b> <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.press\/stories\/2019\/04\/03\/egypt-govt-decides-on-tax-reductions-for-smes\/\">includes a number of tax and non-tax incentives for SMEs<\/a> to go legit. Government entities will also be working to issue licenses and ensure SMEs are included in tenders, government auctions, and banking facilities.
