Four ministers, including Nasr, had sat down with Regional Director Marina Wes <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.press\/stories\/2019\/10\/09\/ministers-talk-pollution-control-with-world-bank-mission\/\">last week<\/a> to lay out their plans to make their projects more environmentally-friendly. World Bank Group Vice President for MENA Ferid Belhaj, Executive Director Merza Hassan, and Wes also discussed with Nasr other ways that they could work together to improve Egypt\u2019s infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p><b>We also want money to wean microbuses off diesel fuel:<\/b> Oil Minister Tarek El Molla also asked World Bank boss David Malpass for financial support for the push to convert microbuses to run on natural gas, a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cabinet.gov.eg\/Arabic\/MediaCenter\/CabinetNews\/Pages\/Nb.aspx\">cabinet statement said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><b>Ministers talk with the new OPIC:<\/b> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cabinet.gov.eg\/Arabic\/MediaCenter\/CabinetNews\/Pages\/%D8%B1%D8%A6%D9%8A%D8%B3-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%B1%D8%A7%D8%A1-%D9%8A%D9%84%D8%AA%D9%82%D9%89-%D8%B1%D8%A6%D9%8A%D8%B3-%D9%85%D8%A4%D8%B3%D8%B3%D8%A9-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AA%D9%85%D9%88%D9%8A%D9%84-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AF%D9%88%D9%84%D9%8A%D8%A9.aspx\">A cabinet statement<\/a> said that Nasr, El Molla, PM Moustafa Madbouly and Trade Minister Amr Nassar met with officials from the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), but didn\u2019t tell us anything about what was discussed. There was an intimation that it could get involved with Egypt\u2019s electricity interconnection projects in Africa, but that was it.
