The National Renewable Energy Authority (NREA) is close to inking contracts worth USD 300 mn for solar power projects with a total capacity of 250 MW during the FY 2019-2020 fiscal year, authority head Mohamed El Khayat told Al Shorouk<\/a>. The NREA is currently studying requests from investors to implement 2.5 GW-worth of solar power projects, and three offers for 250 MW wind projects with EUR 260 mn in investments, El Khayat added.
