Shahid Law Firm defended the Confederation of African Football (CAF) against emergency arbitration proceedings launched by Largard\u00e8re Sports<\/a> over the cancelation of its USD 1 bn commercial contract, the firm said on social media<\/a>. Largard\u00e8re Sports was ordered to pay EUR 60k towards CAF\u2019s legal costs after the International Chamber of Commerce ruled that the federation had not acted unlawfully by terminating the contract. Largard\u00e8re has vowed to continue efforts to get compensation from CAF, claiming in a statement (pdf)<\/a> yesterday that the case was not within the arbitrator\u2019s remit and that his decision \u201cdoes not in any way predetermine the outcome of any future arbitration.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
