Mahmoud Mohieldin<\/strong>( LinkedIn<\/a>) has been appointed chair of the board of trustees at <\/strong>Nile University<\/strong>, replacing the former Arab League secretary-general Amr Moussa, according to a statement (pdf)<\/a> out last week. Mohieldin has a long history of occupying senior positions in government and policy making, including serving as Egypt\u2019s investment minister (2005-2010), and senior vice president at the World Bank (2016-2020). He is currently an executive director at the IMF, a special envoy to the UN secretary-general, and was chosen to be Egypt\u2019s UN high-level climate champion for COP27. He has been a visiting professor at Nile University since 2018. <\/p>\n
