Sayonara, Twitter bird:<\/strong> Elon Musk has rebranded Twitter\u2019s logo, replacing its iconic blue bird with an \u201cX\u201d today. The social media platform\u2019s CEO posted a photo<\/a> earlier today with the X emblazoned on the company\u2019s headquarters after writing yesterday that \u201csoon we shall bid adieu to the twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds.\u201d Although the blue bird is no longer visible on the Twitter platform, the company\u2019s blog<\/a> has yet to rebrand. <\/p>\n

Anyone notice a pattern here?<\/strong> Musk has long had (and shown) an affinity for the letter X, the Associated Press<\/a> and New York Times<\/a> note. The b\u2019naire created an entity called X Holdings to acquire Twitter, and \u201chis rocket company is, naturally, SpaceX,\u201d the AP noted. Musk is looking to push Twitter towards the same brand, as he hopes to create an \u201ceverything app\u201d under the brand X. <\/p>\n

Evidence of 36k-year-old tsunami discovered in Santorini: <\/strong>An eruption of the volcanic island of Thera \u2014 which today is known as Santorini \u2014 around 3,600 years ago in the Aegean Sea appears to have been the culprit behind the destruction of an ancient Minoan civilization, according to National Geographic<\/a>. This cataclysmic event, whose level of destruction is likened to the denotation of mns of atomic bombs, caused a m edieval-century tsunami, archaeologists said as they discovered the impact of the tsunami on the coast of Turkey\u2019s \u00c7esme-Ba\u011flararast. <\/p>\n

No victims?<\/strong> Although the eruption is estimated to have killed tens of thousands of people, researchers have been unable to identify any victims from the event. There are several theories that potentially explain this gap, including that the victims\u2019 remains may have been discovered in the past prior to the technology used to identify tsunamis, meaning the connection to the tsunami was not made. Another is that the survivors of the disaster were able to find the bodies and bury them as many escaped Thera\u2019s full eruption on account of smaller eruptions that prompted the residents to leave the area for safety.
