The investments are part of SolarizEgypt\u2019s expansion plans aimed at adding 80 MW to its clean energy portfolio, Abdel Ghaffar said. No specific projects or countries were indicated in the interview, not a timeline for deployed projects. <\/span><span>We were unable to reach a company representative for comment on the story yesterday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">The company\u2019s Africa ambitions were made clear earlier this year: <\/span><span style=\"\">Abdel Ghaffar <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/climate\/en\/news\/story\/5e37005f-adf5-40d3-8c64-906ddbf09799\" style=\"\">said<\/a><\/span><span style=\"\"> the <\/span><span>company was interested in entering the Kenyan, Tanzanian, and South African markets in an interview in January. <\/span><span>The company is also planning to invest USD 100 mn in its Egypt operations over the next three years, he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">What we know so far: <\/span><span style=\"\">The company is looking to raise 75% of the financing needed for its <\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">Africa expansion from loans and 25% from equity funding, Abdel Ghaffar says.
