<\/span>Egypt is hosting a meeting of Sudan\u2019s neighbors on Thursday <\/span>to look into ways <\/span>to put an end to the ongoing civil war in Sudan, according to an Ittihadiya <\/span>statement<\/a><\/span>. The summit will work to set up \u201ceffective mechanisms\u201d to stop the bloodshed in coordination with regional and international players, the statement reads, without clarifying which countries will participate. It has been three months since fighting first broke out between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces, killing over 3k people and forcing some 3 mn to flee their homes. <\/span>Egypt has so far taken in more than 255k refugees from the conflict, according to latest <\/span>UN data<\/a><\/span>. <\/span><\/p>\n
