That\u2019s according to <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/e3e1c87b-cd8a-48a0-8f93-24a37dad3576\" style=\"\">our customary rate poll<\/a><\/span><span>, where seven of eight analysts forecast a pause due to slowing global tightening and lower prospects of a near-term EGP deval. Similar polls by <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2023-06-22\/egypt-rate-hike-is-off-table-with-devaluation-delayed-day-guide?srnd=premium-middle-east\" style=\"\">Bloomberg<\/a><\/span><span> and <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/markets\/rates-bonds\/egypt-seen-leaving-interest-rates-hold-thursday-2023-06-19\/\" style=\"\">Reuters<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400;\"> point to the same expectation, with analysts forecasting a hold. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700;\">THE BIG STORY ABROAD<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">The Bank of England raised interest rates by 50 bps to 5%<\/span><span style=\"\">, according to <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bankofengland.co.uk\/monetary-policy-summary-and-minutes\/2023\/june-2023\" style=\"\">a statement<\/a><\/span><span style=\"\">.
