<\/span>SCA to IPO 20% of Canal Mooring and Lights:<\/span> The Suez Canal Authority\u2019s<\/span> (SCA) <\/span>Canal Company for Mooring and Lights (CCML)<\/a><\/span> is set to sell a 20% stake in an IPO on the EGX, SCA boss Osama Rabie said at a presser today, according to Amwal Al Ghad. The company will be transferred to the <\/span>newly established holding company<\/a><\/span> that will obtain ownership of some SCA companies earmarked for privatization.<\/span><\/p>\n

THE BIG STORIES ABROAD<\/span><\/p>\n

#1- Another ceasefire didn\u2019t hold in Sudan:<\/span> Warring factions in Sudan clashed this morning<\/span> in cities around the Nile banks, marking the latest ceasefire that quickly fell apart, <\/span>Reuters<\/a><\/span> reports, citing eyewitnesses. Several ceasefire violations have occurred since the <\/span>fighting broke<\/a><\/span> out between the Sudanese Army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in mid-April. Before the <\/span>Saudi-US brokered ceasefire<\/a><\/span> agreed upon in the Jeddah talks expired, airstrikes and ground fighting was reported in Khartoum, Bahri, and Omdurman. Meanwhile, a third party rebel force reportedly started clashes near an army camp in South Kordofan. <\/span><\/p>\n

#2- An aircraft has detected underwater noises suspected to be coming from the Titan,<\/span> the lost submarine that was set to explore the Titanic shipwreck<\/span>, the Canadian Coast Guard <\/span>said today<\/a><\/span>. The submarine that went missing on Sunday, contains four people who have ignored experts\u2019 warnings about the <\/span>safety of the Titan\u2019s design<\/a><\/span>. Rescue teams as well as American and Canadian aircrafts continue to race with the clock as they hunt for the vessel that runs out of oxygen tomorrow. The story is getting attention in the <\/span>Financial Times<\/a><\/span>, the <\/span>Wall Street<\/a><\/span>Journal<\/a><\/span>, and <\/span>Reuters<\/a><\/span>. <\/span><\/p>\n

HAPPENING NOW- President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is in Paris today to attend the <\/span>New<\/a><\/span>Global Financing Summit<\/a><\/span>, according to an <\/span>Ittihadiya<\/a><\/span> statement. During the two-day summit, which kicks off tomorrow and wraps on Saturday, world leaders will convene to discuss global economic headwinds, especially those weighing down on emerging countries\u2019 economies, and move towards a \u201cmore responsive, fairer and more inclusive international financial system to fight inequalities and finance the climate transition.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

HAPPENING TOMORROW- The National Dialogue will wrap the week <\/span>tomorrow<\/a><\/span>by<\/span> discussing the threats posed to society and families by domestic violence and \u201conline dangers\u201d and ways to maximize the benefits of cultural institutions in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n
