THE BIG STORY TODAY<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>The EGX trading system crashed today:<\/span> The trading system is temporarily<\/span> suspended due to a technical malfunction, according to an <\/span>EGX news bulletin<\/a><\/span>.<\/span> The crash was not a result of a cyber attack on the exchange\u2019s servers, the bourse\u2019s management said, adding that it is currently in contact with Nasdaq to resolve the issue. <\/span><\/p>\n

THE BIG STORY ABROAD<\/span><\/p>\n

Former <\/span>Italian PM and media mogul Silvio Berlusconi passed away<\/span> earlier today after<\/span> battling leukemia and a recently developed lung infection. The 86-year-old b\u2019naire businessman was post-WW2 Italy\u2019s longest serving prime minister, controlling the country\u2019s political landscape for nearly two decades while facing numerous scandals. Berlusconi was also the owner of Italy\u2019s AC Milan for more than three decades.
