El Sisi also ratified bills regulating tourism chambers, cracking down on \u2018fake weather news\u2019, and protecting historic manuscripts. Here\u2019s the rundown on the bills that are now official law: <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">#1- Amendments to the <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;font-weight:700;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/2c70383b-d7f7-4dac-a973-78afc798f621\" style=\"\">Citizenship Act<\/a><\/span><span>that make it easier for some foreigners to become Egyptian citizens and help the state secure much-needed hard currency. The changes will allow foreigners to acquire citizenship by purchasing real estate, investing directly in local projects, or depositing money with the central bank. MPs <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/1750b5dd-72a1-49e7-b4c5-d33937b29a0a\" style=\"\">signed off<\/a><\/span><span>on the bill last<\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400;\"> month. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">#2<\/span><span style=\"font-weight:700\">- A bill that will strip the power to form and <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;font-weight:700;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/b870d239-c420-4807-b537-67426b4d6982\" style=\"\">regulate tourism chambers<\/a><\/span><span> from the Tourism Ministry and place it instead in the hands of the Egyptian Tourism Federation (ETF). The legislation <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/ff0e82be-1220-4474-976f-6c8f8e51b070\" style=\"\">got the nod<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400;\"> from the House of Representatives in April. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">#3 - A law <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;font-weight:700;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/ff0e82be-1220-4474-976f-6c8f8e51b070\" style=\"\">regulating<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight:700\"> the General Meteorological Authority<\/span><span> which allows fines of up to EGP 5 mn to be handed out for spreading fake weather style=\"font-weight:700\">#4 - A bill that <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;font-weight:700;\"><a
