<\/span>Brave the Wild River<\/a><\/span>: The Untold Story of Two Women Who Mapped the Botany of the<\/span> Grand Canyon. <\/span>\u201cExciting\u201d was never an adjective that would have occurred to us when writing about a book on the study of plants. But Melissa Sevigny\u2019s work is about a lot more than that. It\u2019s about the bravery and fearlessness of two women \u2014 Lois Jotte and Elzada Clover \u2014 in late 1930s America and their determination to brave one of the world\u2019s most perilous rivers and society\u2019s criticism, to achieve what no one had accomplished before them. <\/span><\/p>\n

Eradicating stereotypes:<\/span> During the long and dangerous journey that lasted over 40 days,<\/span> survival was never certain.
