The EIB was one of the biggest investors in Sawari\u2019s first fund that deployed USD 70 mn into 20 Egyptian companies, including fintech startup Money<font face=\"Arial\"> <\/font>Fellows, which attended a meeting alongside Sawari with Vigliotti last week.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">The EIB is no stranger to PE + VC in Egypt:<\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eib.org\/en\/projects\/pipelines\/all\/20150634\" style=\"\">Ezdehar<\/a><\/span><span style=\"\">, <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eib.org\/en\/projects\/all\/20190074\" style=\"\">Silicon Badia<\/a><\/span><span style=\"\">, and <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eib.org\/en\/projects\/all\/20190621\" style=\"\">Lorax Capital<\/a><\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eib.org\/en\/projects\/all\/20190621\" style=\"\">Partners<\/a><\/span><span> are among the firms that have received backing from the multilateral lender.
