The economy continued to top talk show coverage: <\/span>The conversation hasn\u2019t shifted away <\/span>from government finances and the economy since we got our first glance at the new budget earlier this week.<\/span><\/p>\n

More concerns over our debt levels: <\/span>Yahduth Fi Masr talked to House Planning and Budget <\/span>Committee secretary-general Abdel Moneim Imam, who voiced concern about the country\u2019s rising debt pile. \u201cThe one thing that increased most is the debt,\u201d he said, noting that debt more than tripled between 2015-2016 and 2021-2022<\/span> (<\/span>watch, runtime: 7:18<\/a><\/span>). <\/span><\/p>\n

The National Dialogue is still getting a lot of attention by state media:<\/span> Al Hayal Al Youm (<\/span>watch, runtime: 1:26<\/a><\/span>) focused on<\/span> dialogue\u2019s general coordinator, Diaa Rashwan\u2019s latest statements, which gave us more insight into<\/span> how the dialogue will work \u2014 there will be no voting<\/span>. Sayed Abdel Aal, chairman of the leftist National Progressive Unionist Party, joined Al Youm (<\/span>watch, runtime: 8:12<\/a><\/span>) to talk all things National Dialogue, saying that the aim of the dialogue is for all the involved parties to reach an agreement for a vision towards the new Egypt. <\/span><\/p>\n
