<\/span>How slow of a newsday is it, you ask?<\/span> The only real story to take note of this<\/span> afternoon is that the government has raised the local wheat purchase price by 20% to EGP 1.5k per ardeb of wheat, according to <\/span>a cabinet statement<\/a><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Syria could soon reclaim its seat in the Arab League: <\/span>Regional foreign ministers will gather<\/span> in Jeddah on Friday to discuss Syria\u2019s return to the Arab League following a 12-year suspension, Qatar\u2019s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majed Al Ansari said at a press briefing, according to <\/span>Reuters<\/a><\/span>. The Saudi Arabia-hosted meeting will bring together the foreign ministers of Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, and the six GCC countries. Syria was expelled from the Arab League in November 2011 following its brutal crackdowns on pro-democracy protests.<\/span><\/p>\n

Qatar is reluctant to bury the hatchet: <\/span>Qatar\u2019s position has not changed, Al Ansari said,<\/span> adding that \"any change in the current (Qatari) position on Syria is mainly linked to an Arab consensus, and a change on the ground that achieves the aspirations of the Syrian people.\" The GCC member previously declared its <\/span>opposition<\/a><\/span> to normalizing relations with President Bashar Al Assad, saying he has taken \u201cno serious steps \u2026 to repair the damage that he made for his own country and people.\"<\/span><\/p>\n

ALSO- Leaked US intel document claims Serbia agreed to supply arms to Ukraine<\/span>,<\/span>Reuters<\/a><\/span> reports. Serbia is the only European country that has refused to impose sanctions on Russia for invading Ukraine. Serbia allegedly agreed to supply arms to Ukraine, or has already, according to a classified Pentagon document cited by Reuters. The allegations were dismissed by Serbia\u2019s Defense Minister Milos Vucevic. \u201cSerbia did not, nor will it be selling weapons to the Ukrainian nor the Russian side, nor to countries surrounding that conflict,\u201d Vucevic said.
