The company is expecting to close the deal in April, the news outlet reports. <\/span><span style=\"\">Moharram<\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400;\"> wasn\u2019t immediately available for comment when we reached out to him yesterday. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">About the fund:<\/span><span style=\"\"> <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.press\/stories\/2021\/04\/28\/misr-capital-elevate-launch-usd-380-mn-healthcare-platform-39634\/\" style=\"\">Launched in 2021<\/a><\/span><span style=\"\">, Elevate Healthcare is a partnership between Elevate <\/span><span style=\"\">Private Equity and Banque du Caire\u2019s Misr Capital, which are targeting a final close of USD 380 mn.<\/span><span> It aims to invest in verticals spanning hospitals, pharma, medical education and healthtech in Egypt and sub-Saharan Africa. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">Elevate is already involved with Nile Scan:<\/span><span style=\"\"> At the time of the fund\u2019s launch, Elevate said that <\/span><span style=\"\">it had been the \u201cstrategic manager\u201d of Nile Scan for the past four years, during which time it had achieved a CAGR of 38%. It\u2019s unclear how much of the company Elevate currently owns. <\/span><span>Moharram <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.press\/stories\/2022\/06\/22\/egypts-healthcare-industry-needs-more-synergy-and-elevate-capital-is-helping-achieve-that-74431\/\" style=\"\">told Enterprise<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400;\"> last year that some 30% of the fund\u2019s investments were set to go towards diagnostics through expansions and acquisitions made via Nile Scan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">More takeover plans in the pipeline:<\/span><span style=\"\"> The fund is looking to deploy EGP 500 mn to make 4-5 <\/span><span style=\"\">new acquisitions, he told Asharq, without providing further information.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">The fund also plans to take its new health education platform online this year:<\/span><span style=\"\"> <\/span><span style=\"\">Elevate i<\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">s planning to launch a new USD 50 mn health education platform in 2023, Moharram told Asharq Business. Companies will be able to offer various qualifications and postgrad studies in pharma and medical management through the platform, he added, according to the news outlet.
