Slade refuses to come to terms with his loss of sight, continuing to take on reckless challenges and forcing Simms to suffer the consequences. The chemistry between the two leads is unmatched, making this 2.5-hour-long movie feel rushed. Al Pacino won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance and the firm won Best Screenplay, Best Drama Motion Picture, and Best Actor at the Golden Globes.
