The company produced 1,331 mn cubic feet per day in the October-December period, down from 1,414 mn cf\/d in the same period in 2021 and 1,418 mn cf\/d in 3Q 2022, the company said. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">Eni is a key partner for Egypt<\/span><span style=\"\">, producing 60% of its gas and owning a 50% stake in its Damietta LNG plant, one of the country\u2019s two export terminals. Egy<\/span><span style=\"\">pt is a major market for Eni, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">contributing a third of its total gas production during the quarter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">Egypt\u2019s gas production was said to be on the slide last year:<\/span><span style=\"\"> National output had fallen to <\/span><span>6.5 bn cf\/d by 3Q 2022 from a peak of 7.2 bn cf\/d, according to <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.press\/stories\/2022\/12\/05\/chevron-finds-3-5-tn-cf-of-gas-in-the-eastmed-90240\/\" style=\"\">figures<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400;\"> picked up by MEES. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">An exploration success:<\/span><span style=\"\"> Eni and Chevron <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.press\/stories\/2023\/01\/16\/chevron-eni-announce-significant-eastmed-gas-find-93629\/\" style=\"\">announced<\/a><\/span><span style=\"\"> a significant discovery in the eastern <\/span><span>Mediterranean in January.
