On a 4Q basis, normalized net income rose 38% y-o-y to EGP 205 mn driven in part by a 61% increase in new financing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">Robust revenues led the growth: <\/span><span style=\"\">The NBFS player\u2019s financing division reported operating income of EGP 1.45 bn in 2022, up 33% y-o-y, thanks to a 24% increase in net interest income, higher revenues from portfolio transfer, and a surge in fee and commission income which doubled y-o-y, according to the company\u2019s <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ent.news\/2023\/2\/Contact-ERP-4Q2022-Final.pdf\" style=\"\">earnings presentation (pdf)<\/a><\/span><span style=\"\">. The rise was underpinned by a<\/span><span style=\"\"> 61% in<\/span><span style=\"\">crease in new financing, which hit EGP 11.4 bn on the back of increasing demand for the company\u2019s consumer finance, working capital, commercial trucks, and mortgage products. Meanwhile, the ins. division\u2019s operating income rose 44% to EGP 195 mn.
