The decline comes after the Central Bank of Egypt allowed the EGP to slide yesterday \u2014 dipping nearly 7% \u2014 after the country\u2019s two biggest state-owned banks introduced certificates of deposit with a record-high yield of 25%.<\/p>\n<p><strong>THE BIG STORY ABROAD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The international press is still broadly focused on the US House of Representatives\u2019<\/strong><strong> struggle to vote in a new speaker<\/strong>, after Republican leader Kevin McCarthy failed to secure the necessary votes in all six rounds.
