Aisha is trying to save up for a flight to bring her son, Lamine, over from Senegal to join her in the US. She takes on a new job caring for Rose, the daughter of a wealthy liberal white couple Amy (Michelle Monaghan) and Adam (Morgan Spector), who live in a sleek modern apartment. She begins experiencing terrifying vivid nightmares and hallucinations that begin occurring throughout the day.
