<\/a> Emirati retail conglomerate Majid Al Futtaim <\/strong>(MAF) has appointed Ahmed Galal Ismail (<\/strong>LinkedIn<\/a><\/strong>) its CEO<\/strong>, replacing Alain Bejjani (LinkedIn<\/a>), who had headed up the group for eight years, the company announced in a statement<\/a> Friday. Ismail has been CEO of MAF Properties since 2018. Bejjani was one of the country\u2019s highest-profile CEOs and had been the face of the MAF brand around the world since 2015.<\/p>\n

Mopco<\/a><\/strong> has appointed Hesham Nour El Dein<\/strong> (LinkedIn<\/a>) as acting chairman and <\/strong>managing director<\/strong>, replacing Ibrahim Mahgoub, the company said in a statement (pdf)<\/a> yesterday. Mahgoub left the company<\/a> last month after being appointed chairman of the Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Company (ECHEM).<\/p>\n
