The beginning of 2022 started off strong, with Microsoft announcing its <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/0c85b753-c915-4809-a035-491b881b9076\">planned acquisition<\/a> of video game publisher Activision Blizzard Inc. for USD 69 bn in January, but activity and sentiment took a massive hit with the breakout of the Russia-Ukraine war and have yet to recover.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Speaking of M&A:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Saudi-based<\/strong> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/hassana.com.sa\/\">Hassana<\/a><\/strong><strong> Investment Company is acquiring a 10.2% stake in three DP <\/strong><strong>World assets in a USD 2.4 bn transaction<\/strong>. Hassana \u2014 which is the investment manager for Saudi\u2019s General Organization for Social Ins. \u2014 is acquiring stakes in DP World\u2019s Jebel Ali Port, Jebel Ali Freezone, and National Industries Park.
