Some EMs \u201chave high real yields, they have better trade balances, and they generally have better fiscal coffers,\u201d Nash said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Is ethical debt the future of the loan market? <\/strong>At least 50% of corporate loans extended in Europe, the Middle East and Africa could be tied to environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles next year, up from 36% this year, according to bankers interviewed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2022-11-30\/esg-is-grabbing-a-bigger-share-of-europe-s-company-loans-market\">Bloomberg<\/a>. Firms are beefing up their environmental credentials thanks to nudges from regulators and clients. \u201cWe keep seeing the increasing trend in the market that clients put sustainability higher on the agenda and want to embed sustainability characteristics in their financing,\u201d ING Group\u2019s head of sustainable finance for EMEA told the business news service.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ESG is one debt market where EMs aren\u2019t excelling:<\/strong> ESG investors <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/718bf384-3a3c-4e88-834c-841511ac8e81\">aren\u2019t huge fans of EMs<\/a> at the moment, thanks to worries over risk.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Also worth mentioning this morning: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Saudi Arabia\u2019s sovereign wealth fund PIF has secured a new USD 17 bn <\/strong><strong>loan<\/strong> from a syndicate of 25 international lenders, the largest ever loan of its kind.
