The company hopes to soon enter Egypt with the EUR 2.34 bn (USD 2.7 bn) acquisition of Vodafone Group\u2019s majority stake in Vodafone Egypt, which Vodacom shareholders approved<\/a> in January. Vodapay is modeled on Alibaba\u2019s Alipay \u2060\u2014 the world\u2019s largest digital wallet \u2060\u2014 and provides access to a suite of financial services including online shopping, loans, and mobile payments.<\/p>\n
