The transaction would see the South African subsidiary acquire 124,600 shares in Vodafone Egypt for almost EUR 2.5 mn.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vodacom is in the process of acquiring Vodafone\u2019s majority stake in its Egypt unit:<\/strong> Earlier this year Vodafone Plc shareholders <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/b47597a0-70d6-4847-8152-a200afcf370b\">approved plans<\/a> to sell its 55% stake in Vodafone Egypt to the South African company. Vodacom was said in late spring to be in the process of <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/ddf581f3-3a73-4923-afbe-96ec2d087583\">raising money<\/a> to fund the transaction, which is yet to be approved by Egyptian regulators.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This Turkish company wants to invest in Egypt\u2019s auto sector:<\/strong> Turkey\u2019s largest industrial group, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.koc.com.tr\/en\">Ko\u00e7 Holding<\/a>, is considering investing in Egypt\u2019s automotive sector, the CEO of its subsidiary company, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arcelikglobal.com\/en\/\">Ar\u00e7elik<\/a>, told Trade and Industry Minister Ahmed Samir during a meeting at COP27, the ministry said in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/mift.media\/posts\/pfbid03D9nKFxf24Sx5G2Q5k7nCqTDrH3gt8ABYwMULWNPjDu3zFATcLSYaF6QUQ2G8QMdl\">a statement<\/a>.
