<\/a> Electric Cadillacs are coming to Egypt:<\/strong> General Motors (GM) and Al Mansour Automotive will debut electric Cadillacs in Egypt by the end of 2023, the two companies announced in a statement<\/a>(pdf)<\/a> Thursday. The Cadillac Lyriq<\/a>, an all-electric mid-size luxury SUV, will go on sale late next year, with five luxury electric models expected to be available by 2025, according to the statement.<\/p>\n

Al Mansour Auto is still planning to assemble EVs in Egypt:<\/strong> In an interview with Bloomberg<\/a> last week, Mohamed Mansour said that he intends to produce 15k EVs over the next three years. Under an MoU signed last December<\/a>, Al Mansour Auto and GM are looking at partnering up to produce EVs in Egypt. \u201cI feel it\u2019s going to be a big success,\u201d Mansour told the news outlet.<\/p>\n
