Produced by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.f6s.com\/tinyheartstechnologyltd\">Tiny Hearts Technology startup<\/a>, Crib A\u2019Glow is a solar phototherapy glowing crib that treats the disease. Since its inception in 2017, the crib has <a href=\"https:\/\/technext.ng\/2019\/09\/09\/startup-making-solar-powered-glowing-crib-treat-babies-with-neonatal-jaundice\/\">saved over 1250 babies<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bluetooth jackets that detect pneumonia: <\/strong>Ugandan inventor Brian Turyabagye created the Mama-Ope jacket in response to the problem of misdiagnosed pneumonia, which kills half a mn children under five each year in sub-Saharan Africa, <a href=\"https:\/\/edition.cnn.com\/2017\/10\/24\/africa\/biomedical-jacket-uganda-africa-tech-rising\/index.html\">according to CNN<\/a>. The jacket uses Bluetooth technology to measure body temperature, heart rate, and lung condition.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Big data for cost-effective blood therapy:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/aida-diagnostics\">AIDA Diagnostics<\/a> is a Polish clinical decision support system startup that employs AI and big data to provide blood transfusion recommendations. AIDA estimates that its data-driven healthcare services could reduce blood therapy costs by 10% annually. The startup has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eu-startups.com\/2020\/03\/10-promising-poland-based-startups-to-watch-in-2020\/\">raised EUR 177k since it was founded in 2019<\/a>, and is expected to participate in clinical trials in Warsaw in 2020.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Quantum computing for more efficient pharmaceutical production:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apexqubit.com\/about\">ApexQubit<\/a> is a Latvian biotech startup that uses innovative AI and quantum computing technologies to streamline pharmaceutical production and automate drug discovery. Founded in 2018, the company <a href=\"https:\/\/labsoflatvia.com\/en\/news\/latvian-startup-apexqubit\">was chosen among 9 others<\/a> to take part in Dutch accelerator HealthInc earlier this year.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Using AI to reveal the \u201csecrets of complex disease structures\u201d:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scailyte.com\/\">Scailyte AG<\/a> is a Swiss-based biotech startup that uses AI for biomedical research, pharma discovery and single-cell data extraction. Founded in 2017, the company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eu-startups.com\/2018\/12\/scailyte-raises-funds\/\">received<\/a> EUR 2.4 mn in seed funding from Swisscom Ventures and Z\u00fcrcher Kantonalbank in 2018 and was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.startupticker.ch\/en\/news\/october-2018\/masschallenge-bestows-chf-500-000-on-eight-startups\">the recipient<\/a> of 100k from the MassTech Switzerland accelerator program in the same year.
