The one story that got our attention:<\/strong> US officials plan to downgrade the rank of military attach\u00e9s posted to embassies in key allied countries, and Egypt is apparently on the list alongside the UK, Saudi Arabia and the UAE<\/strong>, the Wall Street Journal<\/a> reports in an exclusive. The move would see the military attach\u00e9 gig \u201cdowngraded\u201d to the level of colonel rather than it being held by a general. Attach\u00e9s are being withdrawn entirely from some African countries.
