The government plans to respond instead to clusters or specific areas that see surges in case numbers, the minister said. Egypt has now disclosed a total of 104,787 confirmed cases of covid-19. The ministry also reported 9 new deaths, bringing the country\u2019s total death toll to 6,071. We now have a total of 97,841 confirmed cases that have fully recovered.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The country now has 600 hospitals equipped to handle covid-19<\/strong>, some of which were recently upgraded, Health Minister Hala Zayed said. These include an \u201cextensive network\u201d of chest and fever hospitals, Health Ministry spokesperson Khaled Megahed told Yahduth fi Misr\u2019s Sherif Amer yesterday (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=iRoOtiONV5k\">watch, runtime: 3:55<\/a>). Meanwhile, Egypt also now has 61 testing labs that can handle 30k samples a day \u2014 and within a week, we could have 81 labs ready to process a combined 50k samples per day, Zayed said. The measures come as the EU <strong>produced <\/strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/reopen.europa.eu\/en\/map\/AUT\/2002\">a map with color codes<\/a><\/strong><strong> differentiating areas<\/strong> <strong>based on risk <\/strong>that will help determine who has to quarantine when moving from zone to zone.<\/p>\n<p class='web-image stand-out-borderless' ><a href='https:\/\/somabay.com\/'><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ent.news\/2020\/10\/SOMA-ENTERPRISE2.jpg?ssl=1\" alt='enterprise'><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>WORLD ENERGY OUTLOOK- Global energy demand is on track to reach its lowest levels of growth since the <\/strong><strong>Great Depression<\/strong> as \u201chopes for a rapid halt to the global spread of the coronavirus and its economic fallout have dissipated,\u201d the International Energy Agency (IEA) said in its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iea.org\/reports\/world-energy-outlook-2020\">World Energy Outloo<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iea.org\/reports\/world-energy-outlook-2020\">k<\/a>. After projecting 12% growth in demand between 2019 and 2030 prior to the pandemic, the organization is now forecasting growth of 9% as a base case scenario and 4% if recovery from the virus is more protracted than expected. In either case, the group is expecting \u201c<strong>oil demand growth will come to an end in the next 10 years<\/strong>,\u201d IEA chief Fatih Birol <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/1b9d85d5-f9fa-4507-8c3a-bc8b59ee4112\">told the FT<\/a>. The IEA\u2019s forecast comes a month after <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/1381978c-a73d-475d-b53c-7791e7bd8242\">BP suggested<\/a> that the pandemic may have pushed us past peak demand, possibly leaving the industry facing a terminal decline in the years ahead.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Moody\u2019s has downgraded Dubai education outfit GEMS\u2019 credit rating<\/strong>, citing the \u201cnegative effects of the coronavirus pandemic on the economic environment in the UAE, and in Dubai in particular,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.moodys.com\/research\/Moodys-downgrades-GEMS-ratings-to-B3-stable-outlook--PR_434278\">the ratings agency said<\/a> yesterday. The Middle East\u2019s largest private education provider is facing lower revenues as the number of foreign students falls and parents with children under five postpone entry, Moody\u2019s said. GEMS <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/38bd640b-a3e0-405a-a0b0-09de49d30924\">said in August<\/a> it would invest EGP 1 bn to add four additional schools to its Egypt portfolio.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The EU can impose tariffs on USD 4 bn of US goods<\/strong> in response to subsidies given to Boeing after being given the green light from the World Trade Organization yesterday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-wto-aircraft\/eu-to-win-right-to-tariffs-on-4-billion-in-u-s-goods-in-wto-boeing-case-idUSKBN26Y0XV\">Reuters<\/a> reports.
