The Public Prosecutor has ordered the investigations into the missing African Cup of Nations trophy be handled by the Supreme Council for Public Funds Prosecution, according to a statement<\/a> from the public prosecutor. The decision comes after preliminary questioning of authorities at the Youth Ministry saw conflicting accounts of how the trophy was lost. The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) discovered earlier this week<\/a> that several trophies were stolen from its storage room as the EFA was renovating its headquarters to include a museum at the entrance.
